Welcome to the
Corvallis Arts Center
A not-for-profit educational arts organization

The Corvallis Arts Center/Linn-Benton Council for the Arts (CAC/LBCA) has served the region for more than 30 years. Housed in an historic church building, the Center isto the public 355 days a year. Inside the main entry doors visitors will find a community center which overflows with activity and art!

The Center is known for an excellent exhibition program that features national, regional and local artists in a professional setting. Handcrafted arts and crafts are sold in the festive Central Park Art Shop gift gallery. Visitors are welcome to browse the shop and gallery Tuesday - Sunday, noon to 5 PM. Regular gallery talks are featured in coordination with each exhibit and followed by a reception for the artist. Please see Artspirit or the Annual Events Calendar for time and dates.

Hundreds of children and family members are best acquainted with the Center through its extensive arts education program, generously supported by our membership. Class subjects change regularly and might include ceramics, drawing, colored pencil sketching, painting, or tap dancing, but our real success is in the outstanding roster of talented artists and teachers affiliated with the program.

CAC/LBCA is one of nine Regional Arts Councils in Oregon and is funded in part by the Oregon Arts Commission, the National Endowment for the Arts, the City of Corvallis, and membership. The Center also facilitates workshops for artists, publishes a Linn and Benton County arts newsletter, a directory of regional artists, and provides professional and technical assistance to community projects and artists.

The Center is also the home to the Linn and Benton Counties Arts-In-Education Program (AIE) which places professional artists in school residencies to work one-on-one with children. Each year the AIE program works with thousands of children in the region.

Other noteworthy events on the Center's calendar are the annual Chocolate Fantasy and Art Auction in February, the Concert Series in May, along with the May Garden Festival, and the Winterlight Holiday Arts & Crafts Exhibit and Sale in November and December.
